Sonic fans will no doubt be familiar with the prevalence of Sonic OCs (Original Characters) – which typically refer to low-effort fan characters that resemble Sonic the Hedgehog too closely. Well, SEGA finally decided to go all in with the meme themselves…on St. Patrick’s Day.

To celebrate the occasion, SEGA teamed up with various creators to create ‘Irish the Hedgehog‘ – the company’s very own Sonic OC with a leprechaun hat! As you might expect, he features an almost incomprehensible accent – courtesy of YouTuber Jacksepticeye.
