Rapper Soulja Boy has jumped into the gaming scene by releasing SouljaGame Console and the SouljaGame Handheld at SouljaWatch.com.
The website states that the console comes with 3000 games built into the console. According to the site, the handheld runs Switch, 3DS, Vita, NeoGeo, Game Boy Color and Advance games, and as well as “SouljaGames.”
The current system price is $113.58.
The problem is that this console isn’t anything that he has produced but rather an existing system that he has rebranded according to the Verge. The original console is available on Amazon for $59.99 and looks identical to the Soulja Boy system.
This review from Madlittlepixel tests out this console which seems to work as a basic emulator and has zero branding associated with Soulja Boy.
According to Rolling Stone, various headlines were calling Soulja’s hardware “sketchy” and “overpriced” and “questionable” even before it was released.

He responded to these criticisms in a Rolling Stone interview. “Honestly, I don’t have any worries at all, any concerns, because everything we’re doing is legit. It’s been researched,” he told Rolling Stone. He also added, “I just think that when you’re coming out with a new product you’re gonna be criticized.”
Other products from this website include SouljaPods, SouljaHeadphones, SouljaWatches, SouljaPhones, and the SouljaPad which closely resemble Apple Products of similar names.
With Nintendo’s recent movements against piracy such their lawsuit against LOVERoms which ended in a $12 million dollar settlement paid to Nintendo, it’s clear that the company is protective of their brand and will likely pursue Soulja Boy in court for including these non-licensed games in the systems that he is selling.
Cinemablend suspects that Nintendo will confront Soulja Boy after it finishes it’s current lawsuit against a Southern California man who is accused of hacking and modding Nintendo consoles with up to 800 ROMs.
