The Hollywood Reporter recently sat down with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime on a large variety of topics.
One of the biggest releases this year, besides Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, is Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is notably missing on Nintendo Switch and many are wondering why that’s the case.
Reggie explained to the Hollywood Reporter that games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 were developed many years before the Switch was officially announced, so it’s logical to finish work on that game first before deciding to port to a system like the Switch.
That said, Reggie hopes third party and indie developers will have more productive conversations about the games that are starting to develop from now on.
