Animal Crossing: New Horizons can look forward to another major in-game event taking place this weekend.
On June 27th, players whose games are set to the northern hemisphere will get to experience their first ever Bug-Off for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
In this event, the special character Flick will appear on the island as the host of the event from 9AM to 6PM. Much like the Fishing Tourney, Flick will challenge players to catch as many bugs as possible within a 3 minute timeframe, awarding points based on the number of bugs caught, these points can then be exchanged for various prizes. Flick will also pay you additional bells for any bugs you catch.
After this, Bug-Off will be held on every fourth Saturday during the Summer months (June, July, August, September). The dates for 2020 are as follows:
Northern Hemisphere:
- 27th June
- 25th July
- 29th August
- 26th September
Southern Hemisphere:
- 28th November
- 26th December
- 30th January
- 27th February
