Following a number of leaks and listings, some new footage of the alleged “Switch 2” design mockups has surfaced online.
This footage comes courtesy of Youtube channel SwitchUp, who claims to have been sent a 3D printed mockup of the new console from the accessory manufacturer iVolver. Like the other involved accessory manufacturers, iVolver claims that this model reflects the “final Switch 2 design templates”, and they used it to develop their lineup of Switch 2 hard shells and screen protectors. We caution readers to take this claim with a grain of salt, as with all rumors of this nature.
In his video, SwitchUp compares the Switch 2 mockup with the Switch OLED. The mockup sports a larger screen, additional buttons on the Joy-cons, and an additional USB-C port on the top. It closely matches the specs and images that were leaked previously, although again, it is impossible to know for certain that it accurately represents the final product.
