Rumor: Dataminer Finds Evidence That “Armored Mewtwo” May Be Coming To Pokemon GO
A dataminer has new evidence in Pokemon GO‘s files that may point to Armored Mewtwo showing up in the game.
The discovery comes from Chrales, a renowned Pokemon GO dataminer. Chrales recently discovered that new identifers labelled “MEWTWO_A”, “MEWTO_A_INTRO” & “MEWTWO_NORMAL” were added to the game. Many are speculating that the “A” is short for “Armored”, and could be a reference to the famous Armored Mewtwo that will likely appear in the new movie.

This new datamine joins other reported evidence of the existence of a new “Armored Mewtwo” form. Some fans believe that this new form will tie-in with the upcoming Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution movie. Others have gone a step further to claim this is evidence that “Armor Evolution” is the new mechanic to be introduced in the upcoming Pokemon Sword and Shield.
As with all rumors and speculation, we advise readers to take this information with a grain of salt. Only time will tell whether “Armored Mewtwo” is indeed part of a fully fleshed out new mechanic, or just a movie tie-in form in the vein of Ash-Greninja. We will bring more information as it comes.
