Following a previous tidbit confirming the game is still in development, a new update has surfaced regarding the upcoming sequel to the Detective Pikachu 3DS game.
This new bit of info comes via the Linkedin Profile of Creatures Inc and PTCG Development Division Senior Programmer Jonathan Murphy. According to a screenshot shared by uses on Famiboards, Murphy had listed Detective Pikachu 2 as one of the projects he worked on, specifying that it was “nearing release”, despite there not being any official details hinting as such at the time of this writing.
That said, the page has since been edited such that the game is now “in development” as opposed to “nearing release”, either in response to the rumors or due to changes in plans internally. We will be sure to report back with official updates as they come.
