Earlier this week, Bethesda launched ports of Doom (1993), Doom II, and Doom III onto Nintendo Switch. However, it seems there may be one other classic Doom title heading for the handheld hybrid console.
This rumored title is none other than Doom 64, which originally launched in 1997 for the N64 and has never seen a re-release since. As shared by Gematsu on Twitter, a listing for Doom 64 allegedly appeared on Pan European Game Information (PEGI) ratings website. It was supposedly found via this link, although the result can no longer be found.
As stated by Gematsu, while the listing only shows PS4 and PC, the format of this Doom 64 listing echoes that of the already released Doom (1993) and Doom II ports for Switch, which also only list PS4 and PC platforms. If this listing did exist, then it serves as strong evidence that Doom 64 may be on its way to Switch soon.
That said, since the legitimacy of this PEGI rating can no longer be verified, we caution our readers to take this rumor with a grain of salt. We will be sure to bring more official confirmation of a Doom 64 port to Switch should it arrive.
