Earlier this week, industry insider NateTheHate claimed that a Nintendo Direct presentation was being planned for the first week of February 2026.

While at the time it was not clear what format the presentation was going to be, NateTheHate now says that the Direct will be a Partner Showcase broadcast. This was in response to another X/Twitter user saying that outlet GameXplain believed it to be a Partner Showcase.

And he is correct. Next week’s Direct will be a Partner Direct Showcase.

At the time of this writing, Nintendo has yet to make an official announcement for this presentation. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
