Earlier this year, we heard from various voices in the industry about how Bandai Namco Studios Singapore is working on Metroid Prime 4, discovered through listings found on LinkedIn.
It was then rumored Bandai Namco Studios Singapore handed over Metroid Prime 4 to the Bandai Namco development team in Tokyo as they had to work on another project.
Today, Bandai Namco Studios Singapore has put out a recruitment ad for an experienced Senior Rigger/Senior Technical Animator. Interestingly, responsibilities for the person applying for this role include creating “animation rigs for different character types including humans, animals, creatures, and mechs”, as well as ” Facial rigging for humanoids and creatures.”
It’s also mentioned that a person with experience using Unreal Engine “is a plus”. Doctre81, the person who combed through LinkedIn listings, claims that these are evidence Metroid Prime 4 is still being worked on by the Singapore studio and that the game runs on Unreal Engine.
