RUMOR: More Mysterious Placeholders For Switch Titles Listed By GameStop

For a long time, GameStop’s internal inventory has been a wellspring of multiple rumors and leaks for Switch titles – often listing them as untitled SKUs before pre-orders open up. Well, it looks like Nintendo fans will be drowning in even more speculation once again!

A new leaked image of GameStop’s internal inventory has reportedly popped up, courtesy of news blog Switch Brasil. As you can see below, there are presumably at least 4 new Switch SKUs on the way – along with a placeholder listing for Bravely Default II, which is scheduled for launch in 2020 and nearing the end of its development as we speak.

A second photo allegedly leaked with this one also shows that Nintendo of America’s Retail Integration Services will be down for maintenance soon. Assuming this leak is true, it could mean some preparations for digital pre-orders are also happening behind the scenes are GameStop and the Switch eShop.

Further corroborating these photos is an ongoing rumor that a Nintendo Direct will broadcast in July 2020 – so it’s possible that GameStop is getting ready for some announcements from Nintendo itself, hopefully in the near future.

As always, we urge readers to treat this information as purely speculative and unofficial, even if everything seems to be lining up together. We’ll report back if and whenever Nintendo confirms anything official in the future.
