Last month, Nintendo revealed that Dragon Quest’s Hero would be the next DLC Fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in Summer 2019.
While news on that front has been mostly quiet since then, it seems we might finally be getting more details about the character pretty soon. Earlier this week, Nintendo France shared the following tweet about their ongoing “Let’s Smash!” video series for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The tweet is mainly about the content of the series’ upcoming 25th episode, but ends off by teasing a “special episode” seemingly related to the Dragon Quest Hero character.
You can check out the tweet below, along with a translation of its last statement. Note that it specifically uses the word “Heroes” in its announcement:
Translation
“See you soon for a special Let’s Smash (Someone said something about Heroes?)”
Since no exact date was given, “soon” could mean anything from tomorrow to next week. Could Dragon Quest’s Hero be shadow-dropping in the same way that Joker did? We’ll just have to wait and see.
