For the past few weeks, numerous leaks pertaining to the Switch’s successor have been circulating online, with Nintendo having yet to do a full reveal of the console.
This latest leak comes from accessibility/cultural consultant Laura Kate Dal, who claims to have received a new photo of the Switch 2’s dock from a “trusted source”. The photo is only a partial capture, revealing the power specifications for the dock, stating that the input voltage is 20V, while the output voltage is 15V. By comparison, the OLED dock has an input and output of 15V.
Dale also claims that the Switch 2 will ship with a 60W charger, which is significantly more powerful than the charger for the current Switch. Presumably, this means that the older Switch chargers will not be compatible with the successor, something which other leakers have also claimed.
As with all reports of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
