Rumor: Next Pokemon Legends Game Plans Leaked

In addition to the company’s slate for up to 2030, the Game Freak hackers have shared more details about plans for the next Pokemon Legends game.

According to the leaked info, the next Pokemon Legends game is codenamed “Ringo” and is planned to release in 2027 or later. More specific details are summarized below:

  • Takes place in Pokemon Sword/Shield’s Galar region over a thousand years in the past, before the invention of Poke Balls.
  • Players will have to befriend groups of wild Pokemon, and command them in battle against enormous Dynamax Pokemon
    • The concept images have the player being followed by a crowd of Pokemon, somewhat like Pikmin
  • The focus of the game is on “Pokémon behavior, group dynamics, and large-scale environmental interactions”
  • Players will have to utilize the unique abilities of their Pokemon to survive in the harsh wilderness and rebuild society.
  • The plot of the game involves crafting the very first Gigamax Poke Ball.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles X was reportedly cited as inspiration for the game.

As with all reports of this nature, we caution readers to take this with a grain of salt, especially since the game is still in active development and subject to change. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
