RUMOR: Nintendo No Longer Allowing Uncensored Breasts In Third-Party Games Heading To Switch

For several years, the Nintendo Switch has been celebrated as a bastion for lighter censorship on third-party videogames with sexual content – with several Switch games even releasing with less censorship than their PlayStation versions. Well, this may be changing as we speak.

Reportedly, Nintendo has begun to restrict third-party developers from including uncensored breasts in their Switch game releases – and at least one game has already become a victim of this reported policy change. The game in question is Hot Tentacles Shooter according to its developer Gamuzumi, which has claimed that Nintendo rejected the game due to its sexual content:

This isn’t necessarily the first time a game has been rejected by Nintendo for questionable content. Last year, Switch ports of Super Seducer and Super Seducer 2 were rejected by Nintendo for “Explicit Content” – although that may have had more to do with the significant controversy surrounding those games.

Nintendo has yet to officially comment on this matter, and it has not confirmed if/how its broader policy on sexual content in third-party games has actually changed. Additionally, it is also unclear how this will affect future game releases from selected companies which have managed to include full nudity in their physically-published titles previously.

We’ll report back as this situation develops in the future. Stay tuned.
