For the past month or so, fans have been eagerly anticipating Nintendo’s upcoming Direct on the Switch 2, which is happening next week on April 2nd.
That said, it seems that the company might have one final surprise for fans ahead of this major presentation. Industry insiders such as NateTheHate and PH Brazil, who both leaked Nintendo announcements before their official reveal, have now chimed in to claim that another “Nintendo Presentation” is slated for later this week, with Nate saying it will be “on/around Thursday [March 27th]” and will be a Direct presentation.
Nate: To stop the constant questions: Yes, I’ve heard there is a Nintendo presentation this week — I believe it is on/around Thursday & it’ll be a Direct; but I’m not 100% certain on the format at present.
PH Brazil: Last week of March is what my guy said after last month’s debacle (the day I last posted here, I believe). Was planning on just waiting it out with them on source probation, but if Nate’s in, it’s a sure thing – and my guy’s back. Hooray.
Other sources with a slightly less well known track record have gone into more specifics. A Chinese insider that leaked last June’s Direct said that a “NS1 Direct” would be happening in a few days. This is further corroborated by ninspider, who made drawings of the Switch 2 last October, also hinting that a Direct will be airing before the Switch 2 presentation.
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. If a presentation is indeed slated for this week, we will likely hear about it directly from Nintendo very soon. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
