A new rumor suggesting official TV animations for Overwatch and Diablo are in development has surfaced today.
This comes from the LinkedIn profile of Activision Blizzard president Nick van Dyk. The president claimed that the company is producing two animations of its two most popular franchises.
If the rumors are true, a TV animation series featuring Diablo in Japanese anime style is currently in pre-production and the rights to broadcast it would be later sold to Netflix for a worldwide release. Nick’s LinkedIn profile also mentioned that he has helped to make an animated series based on Overwatch, but it’s unclear whether the series would be sold to Netflix.
Keep in mind nothing is officially confirmed yet so we will have to wait for awhile.
