Earlier today, dataminers discovered a new Pokemon that’s most likely debuting in Pokemon Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee through Pokemon GO network traffic.
We now have more information on the 808th Pokemon that has potentially revealed the number of Pokemon debuting in the Pokemon 2019 games for Nintendo Switch.
According to Chrales, the Pokemon is labelled “kecleon” in Pokemon GO. However, Unity files for that Pokemon are titled “Pokemon 891”, indicating that The Pokemon Company has determined it is the 891st Pokemon in the National Pokedex.
This means two things – the 808th Pokemon is actually the 891st Pokemon and is a Generation 8 Pokemon, and there are at least 83 new Pokemon in Generation 8.
