Earlier today, Nintendo revealed Control Ultimate Edition Cloud Version for Switch – seemingly pointing to more Cloud-based titles heading to the hybrid system. Well, it looks like Nintendo fans might soon be in for another blockbuster game in Cloud form as well, if a recent discovery is to be believed!
According to some folks on Resetera, references and data for Resident Evil 3 Cloud Version have been datamined from the site that Nintendo Switch consoles link to in order to download Control Ultimate Edition – Cloud Version. This apparently includes a piece of logo artwork, as well.
This discovery isn’t without precedent. After all, Japanese Switch players also received Resident Evil 7 Cloud Version in 2018, which Capcom claimed was an ‘experiment’ for their research. If this datamine is legitimate, it could mean that Capcom is preparing to test more of its games on Switch via a cloud service as well.
As always, we urge our readers to take this information with a grain of skepticism, as Capcom or Nintendo have no made an official announcement about any kind of cloud version for Resident Evil 3 on Switch.
We’ll report back if or when we get more confirmation about this in the future. Stay tuned!
