A new rumor has surfaced about the next mainline Fire Emblem game after Three Houses.
The rumors initially began with a post from industry insider Emily Rogers on Famiboards, where she claimed that the next mainline Fire Emblem game was “already complete”, and would be a brand new entry into the series originally planned as a 30th anniversary game. She also dropped some minor details about the game’s protagonist and plot:
- Upcoming Fire Emblem is a new game, not a remake. Brand new story.
- Collaboration between Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo and Gust (division of Koei Tecmo Holdings).
- Gust heavily assisted with the visuals / graphics. Graphics are an improvement over “Three Houses”.
- Originally intended as an anniversary game to celebrate FE’s 30th anniversary. The game has been finished for over a year.
- Main character (main lord) has strange red and blue hair. His mother is a dragon.
- New “Emblems” gimmick allows players to summon “FE characters from the past” for your squad.
This was soon followed up be a separate post in the Fire Emblem Reddit, where a user going by u/miasmadelta also claimed to have knowledge of the game. However, the use not only backed up Rogers’ statements, but also shared what appear to be pre-release screenshots of the game itself. These screenshots also support many of Rogers’ claims, including a protagonist with red and blue hair:
