With the end of 2024 in the horizon, some new rumors have surfaced regarding Nintendo’s potential plans for 2025.
These rumors come via industry insider PH Brazil, who claims that Nintendo is working with several third party developers to bring several game remasters to the Switch 1 in 2025. Brazil believes that this is to make up for Nintendo’s developers being focused on Switch 2 games, as well as to support players who don’t immediately upgrade to a Switch 2 when it eventually releases.
Some of the rumored remasters include the following:
Ubisoft:
- Splinter Cell Blacklist
- Rayman 3
- Driver 1 + 2 (potentially Driver SF down the line)
- Two more unnamed titles under consideration
EA:
- Additional Wii games
Bandai Namco:
- Multiple projects (Edit: PS3 wasn’t mentioned, that’s just speculation from the Resetera poster)
From a “big” western third party publisher:
- Two re-releases
As with all rumors of this nature, we caution readers with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
