Publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe have announced the western release date for Rune Factory 3 Special.
The remake/remaster for Rune Factory 3 will be launching on September 5th 2023 for Switch in the West. A limited edition of the game was also announced for Europe, which includes the following bonuses:
- Physical copy of the game
- 140-page A5 notebook
- Character stickers
- Micah themed pin badges
- A woven patch
- An A3 poster
- Access to the in-game “Swimsuit Mode” allowing for characters to appear in their swimsuits year-round
- A custom outer box featuring an original Rune Factory 3 Special illustration inspired by the game’s anime opening.
The “Swimsuit Mode” DLC is also available in the Digital Deluxe version of the game.

Rune Factory 3 Special returns after more than a decade following its original release on Nintendo DS! The remastered version of the popular entry in the Rune Factory series is being developed with remastered HD graphics and redesigned 3D character models that improve upon the original designs while retaining their unique appeal. These improved visuals are bolstered by new features including Newlywed Mode, standalone adventures unlocked after marriage to each of the game’s 11 eligible bachelorettes and a “Hell” difficulty level to challenge even veteran players!
