Sakurai Explains The Meaning Behind Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Logo

In the latest episode of Yoiko Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Lifestyle, Masahiro Sakurai revealed the meaning behind the game’s logo.

The logo, which looks like a Smash Ball, has two meanings. First, the intersecting lines are meant to represent the crossover nature of the series, which shouldn’t be surprising as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is home to many different video game characters.

The next meaning might surprise you. Apparently the four sections of the logo represent 4 person multiplayer, which also makes sense.
