Yesterday night, we shared with you Masahiro Sakurai’s comments about Satoru Iwata at the Tokyo Game Show 2019 awards.
Now Sakurai, the creator of Super Smash Bros., has made yet another interesting comment at the awards. He told those present at the awards that he is well aware of the many people outside Japan who ask for Iron Man and Goku to be added as playable characters in Smash Bros. Since Super Smash Bros. is obviously a game that celebrates gaming, it’s not going to happen.
Read his full comments as translated by NintendoSoup below:
“There are many people overseas who kept asking ‘when is my favorite Iron Man coming in Smash Bros.’ and ‘when is my favorite Goku coming in Smash Bros.’ I am well aware of these requests but the fundamental thing to note is the fighters (and other content) that appear in Smash Bros. come from video games.”
