Samurai Warriors 5 Receives Launch Trailer, Season Pass Detailed

Alongside the release of Samurai Warriors 5, Koei Tecmo has posted a new launch trailer for the game along with details about its Season Pass.

The game’s Season Pass is included as part of the Digital Deluxe Edition and can also be purchased separately. It will add new scenarios, weapons, horses, and more. The content is spread out into two waves as follows:

Wave 1 (August 5th)

• Additional Scenario & BGM Sets (3 types)
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 1 “Oichi’s Getting Hitched”
    • Oichi is concerned about something before her wedding with Nagamasa Azai. Find out about the training she begins together with Mitsuki and their friends…
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 2 “Battle for the Legendary Hot Springs”
    • Shikanosuke and Magoichi enter the battlefield in order to get to a famous hot spring. Overcome this fierce battle to be the first one to enjoy the hot spring!
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 3 “Who Is the Smartest in the Land?”
    • Hanbei Takenaka’s battle of riddles begins!
    • Deduce the answers and become the wisest person in the Sengoku period!
• Additional Horses (3 types)
  • Iron Coat, Silver Coat, Armor Coat
• Additional Weapon Sets (2 types)
  • Odachi “Chaos Power”, Bow “Frost Princess”, Talisman “Mystic Ninetails”
  • Gloves “Hellspawn”, Great Spear “Purgatory”, Blade + Matchlock “Ice & Fire”
    • Usage Instructions (Horses and Weapon Sets)
      • After purchasing Weapon Sets via the Shop in the My Castle menu in either Musou Mode or Citadel Mode, you can equip them by selecting Change Equipment in the Dojo.

Wave 2 (August 19th)

• Additional Scenario & BGM Sets (3 types)
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 4 “The Strongest Right-Hand Man”
    • Toshimitsu Saitō is joined by a number of the daimyō’s supporters. Overcome the trials and become the supreme right-hand man!
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 5 “Turning the Tables”
    • Samurai Warriors who survived an age of upheavals and riots by working hard from the sidelines gather for one battle! Succeed on the battlefield and finally have your day in the limelight!
  • Additional Scenario & BGM Set 6 “How to Be a Warrior”
    • Yasuke and Ieyasu Tokugawa learn more about being a warrior by training with a master in this field in order to find out about the way of the samurai!
  • Additional Horses (3 types)
    • Ghost, Black Shadow, Qilin
  • Additional Weapon Sets (3 types)
    • Kusarigama “Water Dragon”, Drum “Nature’s Echo”, Katana “Two-Faced Torment”
    • Spear “Soaring Crow”, Sledge “Bovine Terror”, Twin Blade “Nightmare Bird”
    • Naginata “Dust Devil”, Cannon “Eight-Headed Serpent”, Ninja Blade “Cat o’ Mystery”

“Season Pass Bonus”

Players will receive items to power up their Samurai Warriors in game, along with gold which can be used to purchase or strengthen weapons.
