Scalpers Are Already Attempting To Sell Super Mario 3D All-Stars For Thousands Of Dollars

As many fans will know by now, Super Mario 3D All-Stars has officially been de-listed from the Nintendo Switch eShop – with new physical copies also no longer in production. Well, as expected, some folks are trying to take advantage of the game’s limited supply to make a quick buck.

A cursory search on e-commerce sites such as eBay will reveal that numerous scalpers are already attempting to sell physical copies of the game for as high as $10,000 or $5,000. Of course, many are even stating that the game is “delisted” in order to monger more anxiety over the game’s removal from the eShop.

Fortunately, there are still many reasonably-priced listings of the game available as well (which range around its original MSRP of $60 USD) – but these expensive listings are certainly foreboding signs of the rampant price-gouging that is yet to come, especially when copies of the game do eventually become hard to find in the future.

As reported previously, Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a collection that bundles Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy released for Nintendo Switch as a celebration of Super Mario’s 35th anniversary. Along with a HD refresh and some new control schemes, the collection also lets players listen to the soundtrack of each title. Currently, Nintendo has not announced a reversal on its decision to delist the game from the Nintendo Switch eShop.
