Earlier this year, Singaporean low-cost airline Scoot revealed that it will be operating its very own Pokemon-themed B787-9 Dreamliner – also known as the Pikachu Jet TR. Well, travelers will be happy to know that they can embark on these new set of wings soon!
The airline company has revealed today that the plane’s maiden flight from Singapore to Tokyo will take place on 9 September 2022. Aside from Singapore, the plane will also travel between Tokyo and other Asia locations such as Seoul in South Korea.
As reported previously, this new plane will feature Pokemon from the first two generations (such as Pikachu, Celebi, Lapras) on its fuselage. Additionally, there will also be Pokemon hiding on both sides of the wings for passengers to spot.
A Japanese press release also confirmed that The Pokemon Company will hold more Pokemon events in Singapore in the near future. For example, a three-day “Pikachu Weekend in Singapore” from 18 – 20 November 2022 will feature Pikachu night show at Marina Bay and a Pokemon GO Safari Zone at Gardens by the Bay.
We’ll report back as we hear more in the future. Stay tuned.
