SEGA Filed New Trademarks For Ecco The Dolphin In Japan

SEGA has filed for new trademarks for Ecco The Dolphin in Japan.

The trademarks were filed on December 27th 2024, and were only made public recently. Specifically, they were for “Ecco The Dolphin” and “Ecco”, referring to the cult classic action-adventure title from the 90s. This update has sparked speculation that SEGA could be planning a new Ecco game, be it a remaster or a totally new entry.

That said, publishers regularly file trademarks like this without necessarily leading to anything new. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
