SEGA Reveals Astro City Mini In Japan, Will Contain 36 Arcade Titles

Miss the good old days of classic arcade gaming? Well, fans will soon be able to relive such fun in the comfort of their own homes!

SEGA has revealed the Astro City Mini, a miniature arcade cabinet that will retail for 12,800 yen in Japan. The micro-console will include an HDMI-out, two USB-A ports, a Micro USB port, a headphone jack on the back, and a total of 36 retro arcade titles such as:

  • Alien Syndrome
  • Alien Storm
  • Golden Axe
  • Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder
  • Columns II
  • Dark Edge
  • Puzzle & Action: Tant-R
  • Virtua Fighter
  • Fantasy Zone
  • Altered Beast

For those too young to remember, SEGA was known for their ‘City’ line of arcade cabinets throughout the 1990s – with the ‘Astro City’ one being one of the most iconic. As the following preview images show, this upcoming miniature version certainly captures the retro feel of the original fairly well!

For now, there don’t seem to be plans to release this micro-console worldwide. We’ll report back when we hear more in the future!
