Following the reveal of the Mega Drive Mini 2, SEGA has revealed an additional peripheral they will be making for the console.
The product is a USB controller based on the classic SHARP Cyber Stick, a controller which included both digital and analogue joystick modules. The original Cyber Stick was compatible with the X68000, the PC98 series, and the PC Engine, while this newer release will be compatible with the Mega Drive Mini 2 and presumably other USB enabled devices.
SEGA’s Cyber Stick will be launching on October 27th 2022, the same day as the Mega Drive Mini 2. At the time of this writing, a western release for the console and controller has yet to be confirmed.
