A few years ago, Denis Dyack was working on a successor to Eternal Darkness called Shadow of the Eternals. Unfortunately, it wasn’t able to secure funding so it didn’t make it to Wii U.
In an interview with IGN, Dyack said that Shadow of the Eternals may not be in active development at this point of time, but the project is certainly “not canceled”. He added it is “not the right time” to discuss about the game.
This leaves the state of Shadow of the Eternals up in the air. Perhaps we could see it revived some day for Nintendo Switch, if Dyack thinks it’s viable for the game.
