SEGA has announced an open network test for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds.
The open network test will begin on August 29th 2025, allowing players on supported platforms to try out the game before its official launch. Supported platforms include the Switch 1, where the network test demo can be downloaded from the eshop. This demo is not available on the Switch 2.
The network test will run for three days until September 2nd, and will include the following content:
- 9 Courses:
- E-Stadium, Metal Harbor, Rainbow Garden, Wonder Museum, Water Palace, Mystic Jungle, Apotos, Sand Road, Colorful Mall
- 7 CrossWorlds:
- Roulette Road, Dinosaur Jungle, Kraken Bay, Magma Planet, Sky Road, Dragon Road, Holoska
- 13 Characters:
- Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Shadow, Eggman, Omega, Zazz, Cream, Jet, Wave, Storm, Joker (available on August 31)
- 21 Vehicles
- 4 Speed Type Vehicles
- 4 Acceleration Type Vehicles
- 4 Steering Type Vehicles
- 4 Power Type Vehicles
- 4 Dash Type Vehicles
- Arsène Wing (available on August 31)
- 42 Gadgets
Playable Modes
- Grand Prix (3 Prix’s – 3 Courses per Prix)
- World Match
- Joker Festival
- Time Trials (9 Courses)
- Machine Customization
- Gadget Customization
Additional Info
- Local split-screen multiplayer is not supported on the Open Network Test.
- Save data will not carry over to the full game.
