Did you have a blast with Sonic the Hedgehog in theaters? Well, the blue blur will eventually be making his return to the golden screen in the future!
According to Variety, Paramount and SEGA Sammy have confirmed that a sequel to the action-comedy film has commenced development. Jeff Fowler will be making his return as director, with Pat Casey and Josh Miller as scriptwriters. Meanwhile Neal H. Moritz, Toby Ascher and Toru Nakahara are joining as producers, while Hajime Satomi, Haruki Satomi and Tim Miller will be executive producers for the sequel.
Of course, the film is still in its early developmental stages – so there’s not even a start date for filming right now. Additionally, it’s not clear which actors will be reprising their roles from the first film.
We’ll report back whenever we hear more in the future. Stay tuned!
