Sony Game Card Patent Suggests It Could Be Making A Console Similar To Switch

A patent for an electronic game cartridge has been registered in South Korea by Sony Interactive Entertainment, the Sony subsidiary in charge of the PlayStation brand.

The game cartridge has a tiny port at the bottom that could be used to communicate with a game console. If the patent was filed for an actual product, this could very well mean that Sony is looking into making their next console, possibly the PS5, somewhat similar to Nintendo Switch.

In 2017, a patent for a hybrid console similar to Nintendo Switch was also filed by Sony Interactive Entertainment, so this cartridge could very well work with that:
