South Park: The Stick of Truth Heavily Censored On Nintendo Switch In Europe

If you’re living in Europe or Australia and are planning to purchase South Park: The Stick of Truth on the Nintendo Switch eShop, you may want to hold back your purchase.

Due to regulations in the European Union, many scenes in the game have been cut out and censored from the European and Australian versions of South Park: The Stick of Truth. It’s estimated there’s around 1 to 2 hours worth of content censored in the European version.

As this happens so often, Ubisoft had to insert “apology screens” throughout the game. Here’s an example of one:

I don’t know what to tell you anymore, Europe. In this scene you would’ve been performing the first-ever interactive abortion in a video game, on Randy dressed as a woman, to convince the Taco Bell guys that you were a real doctor. You would numb his scrotum, dilate his anus, and accidentally suction his balls. We’ll just say they let you go.

Fortunately, there’s an easy way to purchase the uncensored American version. All you have to do is create an American region Nintendo Account and purchase the game from the Nintendo eShop.
