Southeast Asia: Maxsoft To Compensate For Missing Xenoblade 2 Torna DLC Codes
Previously, we reported that some regions’ copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Torna: The Golden Country were missing expansion pass codes. After many customers became upset, Maxsoft (Nintendo’s distributor in Southeast Asia) said that they would investigate the matter.
Now, it seems like Maxsoft is working to compensate unhappy buyers of the game. Sadly, it may not be the compensation that some expected or desired.
Thanks to an insider source that wished to remain anonymous, we know that this is the current situation:
- Despite their efforts, Maxsoft was unable to obtain expansion pass codes from Nintendo to offer as compensation. This is because there is still no official eShop for Southeast Asian nations.
- Those who bought the Torna game with a missing code will instead be able to redeem either a Bowser amiibo or Roy amiibo as compensation. To be eligible for redemption, customers will need to bring the Torna game and their receipt to the store where they made the purchase.
- This compensation offer will be open from 26 October 2018 – 6 November 2018.
- Maxsoft will be announcing these details on their Facebook profile soon.
Unfortunately, it looks like Southeast Asian customers will still be left high and dry with regards to the expansion pass content. Let’s just hope Nintendo and its various distributors can be more transparent in the future.
