Splatoon 2, one of the hottest Nintendo Switch games released in Japan, has achieved another major sales milestone last week.
According to Famitsu sales data, Splatoon 2 has sold 3,004,497 copies at retail as of March 17, 2019. This means the game has sold over 3 million copies in Japan in the span of less than two years. This is the first time in 10 years since New Super Mario Bros. Wii that a home console title has sold over 3 million copies in Japan.
