It appears that another beloved Star Wars adventure might soon be making its return on the Nintendo Switch!
According to dataminers, Nintendo has recently uploaded a version of Star Wars: Republic Commando onto its servers, with the thumbnail shown below. The datamine also reportedly lists the game’s publisher as Aspyr – the company which previously brought other Star Wars classics such as Episode I Racer and Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy to Nintendo Switch.
Star Wars: Republic Commando first launched on the original Xbox and PC back in 2005. The game was notable for its squad-based commands that players could issue, and especially beloved for its online multiplayer.
As with all unconfirmed information, however, we urge our readers to take this datamine with a grain of skepticism. While the thumbnail and publisher listed are pretty convincing signs, we’ll have to wait for Aspyr to make an official announcement before we can be sure about this supposed release.
