Back in 2015, Nintendo released Super Mario Maker, a game where players were given the tools to create their own custom sidescroller Mario levels. Since the release of this game and its sequel, many fans have wondered whether the series will eventually expand to include 3D Mario levels as well.
In the absence of an official 3D Mario Maker, romhackers rovertronic and Arthurtilly have created a mod called “Mario Builder 64” that allows players to build their own custom Super Mario 64 levels. Players can place blocks and enemies, add custom textures and music, and even share their levels easily with others online.
