Super Mario Bros. Wonder’s Playable Characters Officially Revealed

It looks like Super Mario fans can look forward to exploring the new world of Super Mario Bros. Wonder with fresh and familiar faces!

During today’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct broadcast, Nintendo revealed more information about who players will be able to play as in the game. As you can see above, the character select screen confirms that the following characters are playable in the main story:

  • Mario
  • Luigi
  • Peach
  • Daisy
  • Yellow Toad
  • Blue Toad
  • Toadette
  • Yoshi
  • Red Yoshi
  • Yellow Yoshi
  • Blue Yoshi
  • Nabbit

Nintendo also confirmed during the Direct and in a press release that Nabbit and the 4 Yoshis are invincible against damage from enemies – making them more fit for players who want an easier time with the game:

“Charismatic Characters at Your Command: Besides Mario, you can also play as Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Blue Toad or Yellow Toad, and even Toadette. They all play the same, so go with your favorite or mix it up with someone different. Yoshis and Nabbit won’t take damage, so they’re a smart choice if you’re looking for a more easygoing experience.”
