Universal Studios Japan and Nintendo have answered a few questions during the media conference for Super Nintendo World held on January 14, 2020 in Japan.
First, we learned that Super Nintendo World will comprise of two sections – “overworld”, the area which we have seen so far, and the “underground”, which will resemble the underground stages in the Super Mario series.
Next, it was revealed that guests will be able to control various attractions at Super Nintendo World through the Super Nintendo World smartphone app.
We’ve also received confirmation that 6 types of wristbands, which could connect with the app and theme park, will be available for sale when the park first opens in Japan this summer. This means there could be more designs coming in the future.
Lastly, concerning Shigeru Miyamoto’s comments in 2017 that the theme park will have some form of connectivity with Nintendo Switch, the existence or nonexistence of this will be announced in the future.
What do you think?
Thanks, Brandon.
