It looks like Team GO Rocket and their Shadow Pokemon will be retreating from Pokemon GO…for now.
Recently, darkened PokeStops that spawned Team GO Rocket battles were introduced into Pokemon GO. The update was not without issues, however – with numerous players reporting major bugs and crashes when attempting to fight Team GO Rocket. Others simply had a difficult time finding any of these discolored PokeStops at all.
To mitigate these problems, it seems like Niantic has temporarily pulled down the Team GO Rocket feature. In a recent update, players have noticed zero discolored PokeStops appearing – which the official Pokemon GO Twitter account played off as a mysterious disappearance.
We’ll report back when the Team GO Rocket feature returns in full force. Until then, Pokemon GO players will just have to make do with capturing regular Pokemon in the wild.
