Tetris 99 To Support Split Joy-Con Multiplayer Later This Year

Nintendo has revealed a few new details about the upcoming local multiplayer paid DLC update for Tetris 99.

The update, which is coming sometime in 2019, will add two new modes. The first mode is a local arena allowing up to 8 players to compete against each other. This local arena could be set up by 8 players with their respective Nintendo Switch consoles.

The second mode, Duel 99, lets two players fight against each other on the same system in split Joy-Con play. This means both players will play with one Joy-Con in their hands.

What do you think?
