Vandal has published the Spanish sales rankings for the period of September 16 to September 22, 2019.
According to the latest sales charts, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening sold 47,000 copies at launch, making it the second best video game launch in 2019 just behind Kingdom Hearts 3’s (PS4) 59,000 units.
Link’s Awakening is also the fourth best Switch game launch in Spain, behind Pokemon Let’s GO, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Super Mario Odyssey.
Interestingly, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild received a small boost the same week Link’s Awakening launched – it sold 1350 units, moving lifetime sales to 299,300 copies.
We also received the first sales figures for the Nintendo Switch Lite. The Switch Lite sold 7550 units at launch. Turquoise was the most popular at 3400 units, followed by Gray at 2100 units, and Yellow at 2050 units.
As the original model sold 3400 units in the same week, Nintendo Switch family of system sales clocked in at 10,950 in the penultimate week of September 2019.
Overall, it’s a fantastic launch for both Link’s Awakening and the Switch Lite.
