Decades ago when the Super NES (SNES) consoles first launched, some players left their consoles close to their window, exposing the SNES to ultraviolet rays and thus making it yellow over a period of time.
In Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, one of the consoles that floats around the stages is the SNES. Interestingly, the SNES that appears in the game appears to have yellowed, similar to how some consoles have experienced in the real world.
