Thirteen New Utility Hole Covers With Geodude Designs Announced for Iwate Prefecture

As reported previously, The Pokemon Company has been installing various manhole covers with special Pokemon themes across Japan as part of a larger initiative to boost tourism across the country. Well, now you’ll be able to find even more lovely designs while exploring Japan’s streets!

Japan’s Iwate prefecture has revealed that it will be installing 13 new utility hole covers with Geodude designs on its streets. These new lids are part of a broader push to promote Geodude in Iwate – ever since the Rock Pokemon was revealed as the prefecture’s ambassador Pokemon in 2019.
