During Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3 2019, Nintendo revealed the first details for what amiibo can do in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.
All amiibo in The Legend of Zelda series and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening series are compatible with The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening on Nintendo Switch. Depending on the amiibo you use in the game, you unlock a Plus Effect for your Chamber Dungeon.
For instance, the newly announced Link amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening series unlocks the Shadow Link Plus Effect, which chases down Link in the various rooms throughout the dungeon. More Plus Effects will be announced at a later time.
