Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Backs Rocket League eSports Competition

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games have announced their endorsement for the Intel World Open.

The Intel World Open is the very first eSports competition that is backed by the IOC. USD500,000 in prizes will be offered equally to both the Rocket League and Street Fighter V competitions happening at the Intel World Open.

The Intel World Open finale will be hosted at Tokyo’s Zepp DiverCity from July 22 to July 24, 2020 by the IOC and Intel. The Tokyo 2020 Olympics kicks off on July 24.
