MachineGames and Bethesda will be bringing Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to the Switch sometime this year, right after they optimise it. However, what’s next for the Nazi-themed game?
At least to MachineGame’s Creative Director, Jens Matthies, he would like to make more Wolfenstein games. Speaking to GameIndustry, Matthies said that he has tons of ideas for future Wolfenstein games and that he doesn’t mind making Wolfenstein games for the rest of his life.
“We love making Wolfenstein games,” Matthies said. “We have other ideas too, tons of ideas we could work on. But within the spectrum of opportunities, I’m happy to work on any of those things. I wouldn’t mind making Wolfenstein games for the rest of my life. There are not so many projects that can offer you a real clarity of purpose. And I think Wolfenstein–the way we make Wolfenstein games–does that.”
With such enthusiasm, let’s hope that Wolfenstein II is a success for future Wolfenstein to be a possibility.
