Today we have some details about how Yo-Kai Watch 4++ performed when it launched in Japan this week.
Early sales data suggests that the game has sold poorly in Japan. Retailers in Japan report a sell-through rate of 20%, meaning out of every 100 copies shipped to retailers, only 20 were sold. The only good news coming out of this is the Switch version selling better than the PS4 version.
We must not forget that the new content found in Yo-Kai Watch 4++ could also be purchased as DLC in Yo-Kai Watch 4. This might explain the weak sales. We’ll probably have a better idea of how bad it sold when Famitsu releases their sales figures next week.
